How to install Drupal 8 beta on cPanel using Installatron

Drupal is a PHP-based open source content management system designed for creating performant, highly customized, and feature-rich websites. Drupal works best on a server running Linux, and can be installed on cPanel-powered Linux installations. These directions are for installing Drupal 8 beta via Installatron.

This tutorial will show you how to install Drupal 8 via Installatron. Installatron is available on our Linux distributions that are powered by cPanel.

First, log in to cPanel (Shared/Server).

In the Web Applications section, click Drupal.

click Drupal

Click Install This Application.

Proceed through the installation as normal, but in the Version section, from the Version menu, select 8.0.0-beta2.

select 8.0.0-beta2

Make sure you pay attention to the Administrator Password, which you'll need to log in to Drupal once the installation completes.

When you're done, click Install.

That's it! We'll get to installing the Druapl 8 beta for you; it only takes a few minutes.

Once it's done, you can launch into Drupal by clicking the equivalent link in your Installatron application manager:
